Living Legend
I suppose it is going a little over-board to say I had dinner with a living legend, but in Methodist circles Dr. J. Ellsworth Kalas IS pretty famous. I took him to dinner tonight, just the two of us. He is the nicest guy and it was great. I can't wait to hear him speak tomorrow at church.

I met Dr. Kallas when I was in seminary; I had no idea who he was, but I heard him speaking and I went up to him and said, "You have the most fantastic voice; it makes me want to listen to what you have to say."
When I say I heard him speaking, he was simply asking for a package from the seminary post office!
